801: San Giorgio - Polpenazze
Parking next to the church of Saint George (XIVth century) near Dusano Port (Manerba).
The first sloping down stretch passes by a natural water spring and then goes down to the Roverella deep valley to traverse in the nprth direction. At the crossroads, from where, on the right, starts a path leading low on the lake shore under the rampart (the path named Scotano) turn left and the right straight up to the edge of the cliff to ascend again till the top of the Sasso (155m).
All along this strecth you pass by the telemetric cabin of the "high speed division" used for timing the world speed record on seaplane held by lieutentant Francesco Agello (10th of April 1933).
To the West direction you go down to the plain crossroads, on the right, steeply sloping down to Pisenze beach, where you walk on Olivari shore till the Torchio port. At the romanic church of Saint Mary of Tenesi (2:20h) go along Via XX Settembre to the West, through a handicrafts area, till crossing the SP BS 572 road (Desenzano-Salò). Across the road the foot-path runs through fields of vineyards and olive groves, by the aeno-gastronomic trade-fair establishment, then directs itself to Polpenazze, all along the deep valley of Via Maglio (1:20h).
