The lake Lucone tour - Polpenazze del Garda

 Parking in Via Vedrine.  Go to Via Lago Lucone near a little chapel from where a country road path starts which, by a wide tour, surrounds the humid area of Lake Lucone the going down back to Polpenazze.

Once you leave the SP26 road joining Polpenazze to Cavalgese, you walk along a cart-road to the N-W.  On the right you find the archelogical site of Lake Lucone with palafitte dating from the Bronze-Age.

Continue towards to N and then E till you get a crossroads from where you can reach the Laghetti di Sovenigo on the left, while on the right, to the S-E, you reach Polpenazze cemetery and the wonderful Romanic church of Saint Peter in Lucone.  Through a wood of down oaks the path descends to the town of Polpenazze in Fontanelle-Tavaredo.

Going along a distance on the path 801, which, starting from Polpenazze, leads to Castelletto and Drugolo, you go back to the starting point in Via Vedrine (1:20h).
