Path 801/A: Barcuzzi - Maguzzano - Desenzano del Garda

 The itinerary joins the path 801 with the Garda Lake passing through Barcuzzi hamlet (Lonato) to descend to Maguzzano abbey to Desenzano and to the lake shore of Desenzanino beach.

From path 801, Via Paradiso, take direction N-W; at the cross-roads leading on the left to the Ronchi and Saint Ann little church, go down on the right to Barcuzzi, cross the SP 25 road (Padenghe-Lonato) the down through Via Breda and walk along the cycling track Brescia-Desenzano till you get to the ancient Benedectine abbey in Maguzzano (VIIIth century).

The path borders the northern and eastern side of the surrounding wall of the abbey to continue to the South and South-East direction thoward the humid area of Vallio di Sotto.  Go on along the provincial cycling track and once you arrive next to the SP BS572 road (Desenzano-Padenghe-Salò) turn straight to the South where a woody and half way up to the hill path to the East side of Mount Recciago starts to end finally in Vallio di Sotto.

After a short ascent, not far from the sports ground of Mount Croce, turn left, climb up towards a hill whose top is covered by a wonderful olve grove.  Along a winding road which allows the hiker to walk through magnificent woods on the sides of the hills, you go down to the crossroads where you reach the lake shore of Desenzanino beach through Via Marzabotto, Via Massimo Kolbe, Via Lorenzini, Via San Benedetto and Via Vighenzi (2:30h).
